Tennis seems to have changed so much over the years. The gameplay is very different from what it is like to be tennis has changed a lot of getting used to, I take a lot of change seemed to occur for example if the eighties. Why do not we just go back to the eighties for a while and try some of the great tennis player, who showed us remember their talents at the time.
A player must stand above all others were from the eighties, when he was on top of his game, he was almost untouchable, and his name is Bjorn Borg. He was one of the best players around at the time, but for some reason known only to himself, he decided to call it a day and went while he was still quite young, what a waste of a great talent.
One of the great serve and volley players of the eighties was, ironically, another great Swedish player Stefan Edberg. He seemed to only serve and volley with ease, and this was a talent that took him to world number one in the late eighties.
But all the great talent on the track at that time was Swedish, as a young German seemed to come to the fore in the eighties, a Boris Becker. He won several titles on the Merry Go Round tennis, but I guess he always will be remembered as the first teenager to win Wimbledon.
Ivan Lendl is the next person I remember how the Czech player had played a great baseline. He was a solid player, and he also won several tournaments and no Grand Slam, too.
I guess the most memorable players of the eighties, the American bad boy John McEnroe will be. He was not only a brilliant player for single use, but he was an average double-players as well and when things do not go all his own way, he used always to the line judge "is not writing, but seriously, was with the ball!" - Unforgettable and fun .
When I think of tennis from the eighties, these are some of my favorite players, but it was certainly a lot more. All these have a contribution to the way tennis is played today is done, and for my part I will not forget!
